Police shock for Bingo Brits abroad!

Many bingo lovers like the game so much that they enjoy a quick-fix while on soaking up the sun on holiday. However, you may want to check the local rules and regulation next time you fly away to 'paradise' – because some bingo Brits abroad got a nasty shock when the police raided their fun and games!

Reports coming from Altinkum, Turkey – suggest that six British tourists were arrested after taking part in a bingo game, inside a beach side bar. What the holiday makers were unaware of – was that that any form of unregulated gambling (including soft options such as bingo) are illegal in many parts of Turkey.

Fortunately, the red faced (not know if it was sun burn or embarrassment!) tourists were released without charge – but were faced with £55 fines! The police raid came after locals reported the bar was being used to harbour gambling, and the venue faces a short period of closure as punishment.

However, the ordeal has caused uproar among many, since the game was being used as a charitable venture to raise money to help a women's battle against cancer. So, if you're leaving the safety of web bingo for a trip abroad – just check the local bingo rules before you get gaming!
