Online bingo industry expands at astonishing rate

Forget about talks of economic downturn and credit crunching consumers – well at least, that's the case if we're talking about the growth of online bingo companies! Online bingo is seemingly booming – and the extent of web bingo's success and growth over the past three years comes on the back of Bullet Business' latest figures for their annual UK Online Bingo Summit.

The plush function hands out some of the UK's biggest bingo awards and features key bingo industry speakers, and has grown from welcoming around 80 companies back in 2006, to 180 in 2007 and a whopping 350 company bingo bonanza last year! According to Bullet Business MD, Ravi Virpal, 2009's conference in June is already set to surpass 2008's record breaking turn out.

Mr Virpal has commented that online bingo has literally "grown in the national conscience" – and it's mix of fun, friends, jackpots and importantly ultra low-cost gaming is a perfect recipe for success in times of economic downturn. The good fortune's being experienced by online bingo companies, means that while the credit crunch may be cutting some luxuries – people are finding deluxe fun at very affordable prices
