Bingo popularity explodes among high income women!

According to the latest reports, online bingo is fast becoming a must play leisure option for the average, 'respectable', middle class 'stay at home' mum! In fact, for thousands of women in the UK, bingo is the little treat they give themselves once the house work is out of the way and the children are carted off to school. Then - it's coffee, chat and bingo time!

So, why has this new breed of online gamer emerged in the UK? The answer is anomousity - because online bingo can be played without anyone else knowing! Essentially, there's no longer any need to be associated with the tardy image of offline bingo, a game traditionally attached to images of OAP's, drinking and smoking and dingy bingo halls. In fact, 90% of online bingo gamers have never played offline!

In the UK, the number of women playing online bingo is up 400%, following the smoking ban and powerful advertising by bingo websites. However, one big name in the industry, 888, has stated that online bingo is a totally different concept than traditional bingo, with the typical female gamer being young, moderate-high income and happy to make online purchases.

From 2007 - 2008, the number of online bingo gamers has risen from 0.25 million, to a staggering 0.50 million, a rise of 100%! The growth has been mirrored by the launch of countless new flashy bingo parlours, with more than 250 registered sites!

What's more, the co called credit crunch is predicted to have a positive impact on the continued growth of Internet bingo. It makes sense, that as more people cut back on expensive evenings out and luxuries, low budget leisure options such as 'stay at home' bingo are becoming increasingly popular. With bingo tickets from pennies, average bingo gamers can play daily and spend less than £50 per month.
